Disguincio&co | Folio
Folio is a spiral staircase where all the main features are embedded in a single module: there is no difference between form, structure and aesthetic, the iteration of the monolithic fiber-reinforced composites step, designs a spiral curve in space, the force line of the staircase. Each component supports the previous and the next, the only variation would occur in the top and bottom pieces that connect to landings. Behind the simplicity of the single component, the whole becomes a complex system to articulate a special effect.

Mind-Bending Photo-Manipulations by Erik Johansson
Erik Johansen’s pictures are worth more than a thousand words. The German born, Swedish based photographer enjoys nothing more than manipulating the mind with his tantalizing visual imagery. His vivid imagination and surreal forms create brilliant pictures of surreal moments, all with a hint of the believable. Originally a computer engineering student, Johansson currently works on personal projects as well as commissioned ones.
Mobile Mirrors: Manequins Covered in Mirror Shards by Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen
The mirror surfaces of the mannequins turn our gaze back onto ourselves, forcing us to become aware of our own bodies and consumption habits. This way revealed, we can see ourselves as part of a much larger system, as complex and chaotic as ever the sculptures’ reflections on the walls.
APOD, 2013 May 12,Clouds, Birds, Moon, Venus
Image Credit & Copyright: Isaac Gutiérrez Pascual(Spain)Explanation: Sometimes the sky above can become quite a show. In early September of 2010, for example, the Moon and Venus converged, creating quite a sight by itself for sky enthusiasts around the globe. From some locations, though, the sky was even more picturesque. In the above image taken last week from Spain, a crescent Moon and the planet Venus, on the far right, were captured during sunset posing against a deep blue sky. In the foreground, dark storm clouds loom across the image bottom, while a white anvil cloud shape appears above. Black specks dot the frame, caused by a flock of birds taking flight. Very soon after this picture was taken, however, the birds passed by, the storm ended, and Venus and the Moon set. Bright Venus again becomes visible just after sunset this 2013 May and will appear near Jupiter toward the end of the month.
